Constro 2012 key theme focuses on Renewable Energies for Housing, Affordable Housing, Innovative and Lightweight Construction Technologies and Sustainable Construction. Constro endeavors this initiative through its efforts of connecting together all organizations, individuals, institutes working in this directions and attempting to harness the divergent energies in to a linear, all-encompassing path which will essentially benefit the society at large through its individual members.

Renewable Energies for Housing

India is facing an acute energy scarcity which is hampering its industrial growth and economic progress. Setting up of new power plants is inevitably dependent on import of highly volatile fossil fuels. Thus, it is essential to tackle the energy crisis through judicious utilization of abundant renewable energy resources, such as biomass energy, solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy.
