Today ‘Sustainability and Protection of the Environment’ are top priorities in design and construction. The Engineers and Architects of tomorrow would need to be far more conscious, knowledgeable and well-equipped to ensure that the designs they create would incorporate the correct application of principles of green buildings at a fundamental level.

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), a part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a pioneer and thought leader in the field of green architecture and construction. The IGBC’s vision is to usher green building revolution and India to become one of the world leaders in green buildings by 2015. We have today 1404 registered green buildings amounting to more than 1012 million sq.ft. of footprint.
